About
I received my B.A. in anthropology from Rollins College in 2008. My thesis, entitled "Forgotten Lives and Labor: Stories from Lake Apopka," focused on a group of African American farmwokers and their access to healthcare after years of being exposed to pesticides from farms in Central Florida. This work focused on structural violence and the political economy of healthcare while embracing the applied perspective of anthropology, and critiqued the culture of poverty and American Dream ideologies. It is currently available in the Olin Library at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
